Chief Minister Nitish Kumar while justifying his move to align with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on to form the government on Friday said that the decision has been taken for the development of Bihar. He made this comment while addressing the Bihar Assembly during the trust vote session.
Hitting out the Rashtriya Janata Party (RJD), Nitish Kumar termed them arrogant and said that they like to live in illusion. The mandate given to us was to work for the people through a transparent government. We tried to run it even though I was facing a lot of problems.
Nitish Kumar also hit out the Congress party and said that it was not in a position to get more than 15-20 seats in the Bihar elections but it was because of them that they got more seats.
“We asked them (Congress) to interfere and look for some solution. I have just asked them (RJD) to explain the charges but they were not in the position to answer,” Nitish Kumar added.
“People are the biggest court, we want to serve the people and not for just one family people. When the situation reached to a point where it had become difficult for me to run the alliance I distance myself and decided whatever decision I will take it will be for the benefit of Bihar,” Nitish Kumar said.
Talking about secularism, Nitish Kumar said that it is an ideology and not to cover the acts of corruption under the shadow of it. No politician can teach us the lesson of secularism.
I would like to thank the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and all other parties for supporting us in the alliance. We will not tolerate corruption and injustice.
