In wee hours of Sunday morning, Delhi Police busted a woman carrying several gun magazines and 14 pistols from the Shastri Park area of the national capital. According to Delhi Police this nab could further help them break into a larger gun racket being operated from the area.

With increasing cases of arms trafficking being reported from Delhi, a special police task force was allotted to counter the illegal racket. In quest of one such racket Delhi Police caught the woman in Shastri Park area, 14 pistols along with 14 gun magazines were ceased from her possession.

This is not the first development in Delhi Police’s attempt to stop arms and ammunition trafficking, earlier the special cell had busted two men with more than 20 gun magazines from the national capital.

Delhi Police has been on a raid to every suspicious area in an attempt to stop the growing issue of arms trafficking in the state. With Independence Day around the corner and Delhi being the centre of threat, the police have increased patrolling around the vulnerable areas; also the security has been strengthened to ensure maximum safety in the capital.
