Breaking silence of over the ‘mysterious’ suicide of a 14-year-old boy, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, expressed his grief over the alleged suicide case which is said to have occurred because of a game, ‘Blue Whale’.
Chief Minister Fadnavis said, “The Blue Whale game is dangerous and has caused worries for everyone.”
“The issue will be conveyed to the Centre”, the CM added.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar demanded strict punishment for the culprit who provokes children to commit suicide.
This case of 14-year old should be investigated thoroughly as it is an alarming case for all, the Dy CM said.
On Monday, a 14-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide in Andheri east, Mumbai after jumping off the terrace of his 7-floor apartment. As per reports, the boy was said to be addicted to a suicide game named ‘Blue Whale’, the police are yet to reach a conclusion over the motive for committing suicide.
The deceased, Manpreet Singh, a class 9 student of a school in Andheri east was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival. While this may be the first reported case of death related to ‘Blue Whale’ in India, hundreds of teens have fallen trap to it across the world.
