Hyderabad based politician Amjed Ullah Khan has started a new trend of teaching the traffic police how rules are followed and giving them a lesson on ‘how to implement your own rules’.
According to reports, Khan has started a campaign which has gone viral on social media in which he has been capturing how policemen and specially traffic police is not following the basic traffic rules.
Khan is reportedly tweeting pictures of how policemen are violating the rules to Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma and the Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao.
A Hyderabad politician has captured pictures and videos of various policemen triple riding, using cell phones while driving or riding without a helmet which is clearly a violation of the basic traffic rules.
It all started when Hyderabad police was issuing many challans each day which was further causing the commuters inconvenience. He also claims that many cops have been given a target of issuing 100 challans daily to “fill up the empty coffers of the Hyderabad police department,”
Talking about the campaign, Khan said, ‘Since the law is equal for everyone, we are asking them to change themselves, and practice what they preach. Our demand is that any police officer who gets issued more than three challans, should be suspended’.
A democracy is of the people, by the people and for the people, and police officers are not exempt from this. We have just started the campaign, but we are planning to do much more,” he added.
After the photos and videos going viral all over the internet, many people have joined the campaign and there is support from all over the country.
