Congress leader Ahmed Patel on Tuesday night welcomed the Election Commission’s decision to disqualify votes of two party MLAs in the Gujarat Rajya Sabha elections.
“I appreciate the order of the Election Commission. It will boost the morale of the Congress workers,” Ahmed Patel said after EC rejected votes of two Congress MLAs.
Asked about the order and its implications, Ahmed Patel said, “It will bring down the quota needed to win the election”.
Speaking exclusively to NewsX, Ahmed Patel said that he is confident on his victory but will not comment on anything untill results are out.

Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP) party MLA Nalin Kotadia, who according to some reports have cross voted against the BJP in the elections said that the party did not addressed the Patidar issue that’s why he went against the party in the elections.
