Making a mockery of the system once again, former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav along, with his convoy that included a total of 175 cars, drove past through a toll plaza without paying the tax, as claimed by toll plaza manager.
According to reports, Akhilesh Yadav was going for a rally in Faizabad which was scheduled many days back regarding ‘Desh Banao’ campaign. The incident took place when former Uttar Pradesh chief minister’s convoy passed through Barabanki toll plaza and none of the vehicles paid the toll tax to the operators present there.
This is not the first time when political leaders and VVIPs were witnessed breaking rules at toll plazas. There have been many incidents in past when VVIPs argued paying tax at toll booths.
Earlier, in a brazen display of VVIP arrogance, Hindupur Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Nimmala Kristappa’s Son with his friends and supporters ransacked a toll booth at bagepalli on the Bangalore-Hyderabad highway.
According to reports, the incident took place after a toll fee was asked to pay for MP’s son’s friend’s car following which they completely vandalised the toll plaza.
