The long kept 15-years of silence over superstar Rajinikanth joining politics had recently gained momentum after the ‘Thaliva’ recently met with his fans and shared his thoughts over politics.
In order to resolve the long due mystery of Rajinikanth entering politics, NewsX caught up with the superstar’s advisor, Tamilaruvi Manian of Gandhiya Makkal Iyakkam and learnt that the superstar Rajinikanth will be making an entry into politics by floating his own party.
Speaking on whether the superstar will join politics by the year end, Tamilaruvi Manian said that during Rajinikanth’s recent meet with his fans he told them that they all should be ‘ready to wage a war against corruption’.
Hinting that the actor won’t be joining any existing political party, Manian told NewsX that Rajinikanth had already made it very clear that if anybody is trying to swindle money or power by using his name, they should leave him immediately.
Tamilaruvi Manian said that Rajinikanth is very much inclined towards the welfare of people; he has discussed many political matters also.
“During the discussions I had I asked Rajinikanth if he wants to float a new party, to which he said yes,” Manian said.
Further disclosing Rajini’s stand, Manian said that he had asked Thaliva as to what provoked him to join electoral politics, to which Manian said: “Rajinikanth said 40 years ago, when I came to the city I had nothing. The people here made me what I’m today. I am highly indebted to them and want to repay it now by serving them.”
When Tamilaruvi Manian was asked that when does superstar Rajinikanth plan to get into politics, he said, “A lot had been said in the past 15 years, but this time he is definitely getting into politics and there is no doubt about it. He is working hard for the new party; he meets the leaders whenever he gets time.”
“However, Rajinikath is the right person to disclose the actual date of joining politics,” he added.
While speaking to NewsX, Tamilaruvi Manian revealed top 3 priorities of Rajinikath after he gets into power. One of the three will be interlinking of southern rivers from Mahanadi to Cauvery because Cauvery dispute has become a political matter and something needs to be done.
On the Cauvery dispute, Rajinikanth had said that he was the first person to raise the concern in 2002. Later when the Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s BJP government took cognizance of the matter, Rajini also extended his support by contributing Rs 1 cr for the project.
Providing people with a clean government and increasing transparency in all spheres of governance will be a few of the priorities of Rajinikath when he enters politics, Manian said.
