The Delhi High Court on Thursday morning was put on high alert following a bomb threat received by security officials. Reports claim that an anonymous call was made to the Delhi police threatening to blow up the court. Following the threats, security has been beefed up.

Taking the cognizance of the calls, the Delhi police immediately rushed to the spot. SWAT teams, fire tenders and the bomb squad teams have also been rushed to the spot.

However, during the primary searches, police did not receive and evidence suggesting a bomb threat. “It could have been a hoax call,” a police official added

Earlier, while preparing for the Independence Day, Delhi had been put on high alert by the intelligence agencies stating that militants from cross border might try to take out an attack in the national capital.
