Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Gokrakhpur’s BRD Medical College Hospital — in regard to the death of more than 70 children — has been termed as a ‘photo opportunity’ by the Uttar Pradesh ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Firing cannons at the Congress’ Rahul Gandhi, BJP spokesperson Zafar Islam said that despite knowing that the people of this country are ‘fed-up’ of him, he keeps seeking ‘photo opportunity’.
Zafar Islam said that Congress party and its VP are always in look out of such opportunities where they can get clicked while listening to people’s ordeal despite knowing that people are fed-up from their governance.

Apart from Rahul Gandhi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be reaching Gorakhpur (his constituency for almost 19 years) at around 9:30 AM today at the Ramleela Maidan to inaugurate ‘Swachch Uttar Pradesh – Swasthya Uttar Pradesh campaign’ which to be carried out between August 20-25 in all the districts.
The report of Rahul Gandhi visiting the BRD hospital was confirmed by Congress district unit president Sayed Jamal.
Since August 7, more than 70 deaths were reported due to various causes including encephalitis. Some of the deaths were alleged to have been taken place due to shortage of oxygen, a claim which was dismissed by the Uttar Pradesh government.
