Srinagar: During the four day visit to Jammu and Kashmir Home Minister Rajnath Singh while addressing CRPF personnel and Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday in Anantnag said that he has bullet proof vehicles at police stations in the state. Rajnath Singh also added that funds have been released to provide bullet proof jackets to Jawans.
Rajnath Singh also talked about martyred soldier Abdul Rashid, and said he was very upset to see the crying and teary eyed face of the martyr’s daughter. Singh also added that his heart cannot stop feeling the pain of the daughter.
During the interaction with the security forces, Rajnath Singh also delivered PM Narendra Modi’s message to the security forces and said PM has appreciated & acknowledged bravery and valour shown by you.
Singh once again stressed that he is willing to have a discussion with anyone with an open mind and he is ready to listen to the problems of the people. Rajnath Singh also added that he will leave no stone unturned to bring normalcy back in Kashmir and no power in the world can stop us from bringing peace in Kashmir
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday began his four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir and reviewed the security situation during a meeting with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti even as militants attacked a police party in Anantnag, killing one and injuring two others.
The arrival of the Home Minister, who tweeted that he was visiting the state with an open mind and was ready to meet with everyone who could help in the solution of the problems in Kashmir, also came as senior separatist leaders were placed under house arrest and JKLF chief Yasin Malik was arrested ahead of their proposed protest at the NIA headquarters in Delhi.
