Three Indian Army soldiers were injured late on Sunday in a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Janmmu and Kashmir.
According to the Defence Ministry sources, the three soldiers were injured in Keran sector of Kupwara district, J&K.
“The soldiers were on routine patrolling when the explosion occurred. The injured soldiers have been shifted to hospital,” sources said.
On Sunday, the Indian Army nabbed a terrorist in an on-going gunbattle in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district. In the encounter, 2 terrorists were also gunned down by the security forces.
Further disclosing about the overnight gunbattle, the police official said that the operation was carried out jointly by the security forces acting on a tip-off about the presence of three terrorists at Barbugh village in Shopian.
