The Madras High Court has given an interim stay in conducting the floor test in the Tamil Nadu Assembly till September 20. The Advocate General of the state has informed that the Governor will reach Chennai on Monday.

This has come amidst the court was hearing DMK MLAs petition. The TTV Dinakaran camp (who was removed as the deputy general secretary) in AIADMK’s general council meeting also made the mention that some legislatures also wish to impede in the case.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Assembly speaker has issued notices 19 MLAs of the Dinakaran faction asking why they should not be disqualified.

The Advocate General has described to the court that speaker’s power is absolute and they cannot interfere in the his decisions and powers.

Amidst all this, DMK acting chief MK Stalin will be meeting TN Assembly Speaker regarding the floor test. TTV Dinakaran who has a support of 19 party MLAs has also challenged chief minister E Palaniswami for a floor test. 

Dinakaran also said he will make sure that the government is thrown out of power.
