Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has vowed to fix all the potholes of Bengaluru within 10 days which has left the engineers overloaded with work. During the last count of potholes it was estimated that Bengaluru has close to 5,067 potholes on a stretch of 957km.
BBMP Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad told a leading daily that he has set a deadline of ten days for the BBMP officers to finish fixing the potholes. After this order, BBMP officials have been working from 10PM to 3AM to meet the deadline.
The city roads were in a bad shape following the recent rains in the city, prompting BBMP Commissioner to set a 10-day deadline for his engineers.
The pothole problem in Bengaluru has been troubling the citizens for a very long time especially after rains.
