There should women bus conductors, drivers in school buses and non-teaching staff as part of efforts for ensuring children safety, says Union Minister Maneka Gandhi while sharing her concern in the wake of Ryan incident.
Union Minister said that the Women and Child Development Ministry can also offer funds under the Nirbhaya scheme for training women drivers and helpers in school buses.
Maneka Gandhi was speaking over safety of children in schools after a string of attacks came to light including the brutal killing of a 7-year-old class II student who was found brutally murdered inside toilet of Ryan International School in Gurugram earlier in September.
This is something that has also been shared by HRD minister as well where Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the government is mulling ways like more women staff in school including buses as well.
