Yakub Memon's Sentence

Many prominent personalities have opposed the hanging of Yakub Memon. Have they considered the fact that, if he is not hanged and, instead sentenced to Life Imprisonment, the Taxpayer will be feeding, clothing and sheltering him and providing him with all the other necessities for his stay in a jail? Has our nation come to this state of affairs? Are these "supporters" of Memon genuinely concerned about India, or are they merely trying to "get into the news" for their own benefit? Have they put themselves in the victims' kins' shoes? Would they have had the same opinion if one of their loved ones had lost his/her life in the 1993 blasts in Mumbai?
