Congress vice-president has planned to visit his constituency Amethi between October 4 and 6, but the local administration has asked him to reconsider his plans. The local administration in a letter written to him said that there has been a huge security deployment to Dussehra celebrations and Muharram and therefore it would be difficult to provide necessary security arrangements. Letter written by local administration says that police are deployed to maintain law and order owing to Dussehra celebrations and Muharram.

However, reacting on the issue Congress has termed this move by the local administration as a conspiracy. Congress has alleged that the Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not want Rahul Gandhi to visit his constituency before BJP national president Amit Shah’s tour to UP. Congress also added that Dussehra celebrations and Muharram are over and Rahul Gandhi would be visiting on October 4.

Reacing in the issue UP Congress President, Raj Babbar said, “These are excuses. Unfortunate that an MP can’t go to his constituency on festivals. It’s murder of democracy.”

BJP president Amit Shah, along with other senior BJP leaders and central ministers, is schedule to visit Amethi on October 10.

Earlier this week, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi attacked at Modi government and said is has been able to provide employment to only 400 new youth as compared to 40,000 in China. “Everyday 30, 000 people go in search of jobs, and the government provides employment to just 400 new youth as compared to 40, 0000 in China,” Gandhi said on the final day of his Gujarat tour. Gandhi further said that if Congress comes back to power it will fight China by providing employment and not just with mere anger.

“The Congress party will fight China, not by anger but by helping small business here and by providing employment,” Gandhi said while addressing the crowd in Rajkot. Continuing to attack Modi, Gandhi criticised the prime minister for waiving off loan of country’s rich industrialists. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has waived off Rs 13, 0000 Crore loan of 15 richest industrialists of the country,” the Congress VP added.
