NEW DELHI: The Janata Dal United (JDU) President Sharad Yadav justified his statement that women of South India are dark but have good bodies, saying there is nothing wrong in what I said.

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party's senior leader and brother of SP Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, Ram Gopal Yadav has supported Sharad Yadav's shocking statement, saying Sharad Yadav was only praising women and there is nothing wrong in what he said.

Earlier on Thursday, Sharad Yadav made sexist comments on south Indian women in the Rajya Sabha. During a debate on the Insurance Bill in the Rajya Sabha, Yadav said, "the women of the south are dark but they are… their bodies…," and went on to speak about their dancing skills.
