A man was arrested by Delhi Police on Monday who allegedly beat up his wife with bricks just two days after his wedding. The man went absconding after the incident thinking that the woman was dead. The accused was arrested by Delhi Police after 3 months of the crime. The woman was hospitalised after the incident and was in coma. She miraculously came back from coma and narrated the entire incident to the police which provided leads to nab the accused.

The accused has been identified as Ravi Singh alias Tinku, who just after two days of his marriage with 22-year-old Madhuri, brought her to Delhi and took her at an under construction site in Bawana on pre-text of some work. Later, he attacked his wife with stones and sticks and left her there thinking that she was dead.

As per reports, the cops got information about a woman lying at an under construction site. They reached the spot and rushed the victim to the hospital where she remained unconscious for two months but later when she was conscious, she narrated the entire incident to the police. Acting on the leads, the police arrested the accused Ravi Singh alias Tinku from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.

Ravi, during the interrogation confessed to his crime and also said that he was in a relationship with Madhuri for two years but did not want to marry her. He further added that he had to marry Madhuri under pressure from family, and local villagers. Though, he had already decided that he would bring her to Delhi and get rid of her.
