NEW DELHI: Coast Guard DIG BK Loshali's shocking statement over Pakistani terror boat sparks a storm. DIG Loshali has dismissed the report that he gave blow off orders of Pakistan terror vessel on the night of December 31.
According to a media report on Wednesday, DIG had ordered to blow off the boat. “Blow the boat off…. We don’t want to serve them biryani…..” BK Loshali told the guards as per the report.
Loshali clarified in the written statement, “The reports are not factual. I have not made this statement. As the matter of fact, I was not even handling the operation and was spearheaded by the Commander Coast Guard Region (NW) and ops team being classified in nature, I was not privy to it completely. I reiterate the boat set herself on fire and was not sunk by the Coast Guard.”
Earlier, on January 5, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar asserted that the boat had some activity in mind that does not fit the description of a smuggling boat and asked why a smuggler would commit suicide.
