Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday once again hit out at the Congress party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, senior lawyer and Congress leader Kapil Sibal. Yogi Adityanath slammed senior lawyer Kapil Sibal, who asked the Supreme Court to delay the hearing of the Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid case to post General Elections 2019. Yogi Adityanath further lambasted Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who is campaigning aggressively in Gujarat ahead of the forthcoming assembly elections in the state. Taking on senior lawyer Kapil Sibal and Rahul Gandhi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath said that they are playing with the faith, emotions of the people.

Further slamming the Congress vice-president, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that once again the face and character of Congress and Rahul Gandhi was in front of the people. Taking on Rahul Gandhi who is visiting temples in Gujarat to woo people and garner support for his party for the forthcoming assembly elections, Yogi Adityanath said, “Rahul Gandhi is trying to create confusion in the minds of people by visiting temples in Gujarat.

Earlier on December 5, the Supreme Court decided the final hearing on the Ram Mandir issue will be heard from February 18, 2018. Hitting out at Kapil Sibal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had slammed senior lawyer’s plea in the case asking to defer the hearing of the case until 2019 Lok Sabha election. Prime Minister Modi further added that he does not have a problem if Kapil Sibal is representing the Muslim community in the case but linking the dispute with 2019 Lok Sabha election is not proper. Kapil Sibal on Tuesday told the Supreme Court that whenever the Ayodhya matter is heard, there are serious repercussions outside the court. He requested the court in order to maintain the law and order situations the matter should be taken up after July 15, 2019 once the Lok Sabha elections are over. However, the plea of the senior lawyer was rejected by the apex court. The fresh BJP-Congress slugfest features after Congress vice-president was accused by BJP of visiting temples to woo Hindu voters.

PM Modi further lambasted the Congress vice-president while he was addressing an election rally in Dhandhuka area of Gujarat. Prime Minister Modi said, “Now the Congress links the Ram Mandir with elections. They are least bothered about the nation.”
