Sometimes we love multitasking like having pop-corn while watching movies or fiddling with ones phone, but a woman from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh decided to take multitasking to a new level. 43-year-old head nurse, Vinaya Kumari, who was diagnosed with a tumour in the brain while undergoing surgery was watching the movie Baahubali 2.
The bizarre incident has amazed everyone but the harsh reality is that its true. The surgery is known as awake brain surgery. The surgery took place at Tulasi Multi-specialty Hospital, a private hospital in Guntur district.
It was important for the patient to remain awake during the surgery so the doctors screened Baahubali 2: The Conclusion for the patient so that she remains awake and engaged.
The surgery reportedly got over in one and a half hours much before the movie ended. The team of doctors who performed the surgery credited the film for its success. “In this surgery it was important for the patient to stay conscious and the film managed to do exactly that. The patient did not panic through the process, in fact, she was enjoying and humming the songs”, neurosurgeon Dr Srinivas told a leading news organisation.
