In a gesture filled love, respect, and gratitude; school girls and women from across the country have come forward to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with security personnel.

As reported, in Jammu and Kashmir, school girls from Udhampur district came forward to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers, on Sunday.

These brave young souls took an initiative to go ahead and tie rakhis on the wrists of CRPF men deployed for the security of Amarnath Yatra.

Carrying the beautiful spirit of Raksha Bandhan with them wrapped in their rakhis these bravehearts, from the Poonch sector of J&k, visited the CRPF camp of the 137 battalion, stationed at Udhampur, on Sunday. The CRPF men appreciated the gesture and were overwhelmed to see the concern and respect for them.

Earlier on Saturday, it was reported that some women from the valley also came up to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel posted at J&k. Also, a group of women from Punjab made a visit to Wagah Border to tie rakhis and celebrate the festival with BSF personnel.

Raksha Bandhan—one of the widely celebrated festivals of India; signifies the purest of bonds in the world—the one between a sister and brother.
