Coming out as a very special gift to the people of Hyderabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Hyderabad Metro line at around 2:15 pm from the Miyapur station. The Hyderabad metro which was inaugurated today, will be operational for public from Wednesday, November 29, and will run initially from 6 am to 10 pm. The 30-km Hyderabad metro will run between Miyapur and Nagole Metro stations. There are around 24 stations between Miyapur and Nagole. While addressing the gathering at Hyderabad, PM Modi said that he believes in cooperative federalism. He further added that there is no question of discriminating against states where BJP is not in power. ‘We are committed for the overall development of our country,’ PM Modi said. Soon after the launch, PM Modi along with Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will travel by the Hyderabad metro from Miyapur station to Kukatpally station.

Hailing the BJP workers in south PM Modi said that even though BJP has not got much opportunists to be in south,  yet, BJP karyakartas are always working on the ground and being with people to serve them better. He said, “We are proud of this family of BJP Karyakartas.”

The Hyderabad metro is being perceived as a major aide to the commuters as it is expected to carry around 17 lakh passengers on daily basis. After being operational for some time, the timings will be rescheduled to 5:30 am to 11 pm as per public’s convenience. The prices of the tickets are expected to range from Rs 10 to Rs 60; Rs 10 for up to 2 kilometers and Rs 60 for the distance of more than 26 kilometers. The Hyderabad metro will operate from Miyapur in north Hyderabad to Nagole in the eastern part of the city.

At 1:30 pm PM Modi is expected to attend a reception by the party workers near the airport. At 2:15 pm he will inaugurate the metro and later at 3:30 pm he will inaugurate the GES 2017 Summit in the presence on Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump.

As the Hyderabad metro will be inaugurated in next hour, we give you a few highlights of the Hyderabad Metro project. Initially, each metro will have three coaches with an accommodating capacity of 300 people. Later, the number of coaches will be increased up to 6, going by the traffic. The authorities have also launched a smart card for the metro will later be used for other purposes as well. Apart from this, a mobile app ‘T Savari’ has also been launched where the passengers can find information regarding routes, fares and timings.
