PM Narendra Modi attends ‘Tilak’ ceremony of Mulayam’s grandnephew in Saifai today

SAIFAI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Tilak ceremony of Samajwadi Party (SP) Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s grandnephew Tej Pratap Yadav at Saifai in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

PM Modi received grand welcome by Mulayam Singh Yadav and Lalu Prasad Yadav. After spending 30 minutes with Yadavs’ family members, Modi left the wedding venue, said reports.

Tej Pratap yadav, Manipuri MP, will marry Raj Lakshmi, the youngest daughter of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on February 26.

According to the reports, PM Modi confirmed their presence in the ceremony.  

Other political leaders including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Janata Dal (Secular) chief and former Prime Minister Deve Gowda and Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik are also invited to attend the ceremony in Saifai.

More than 100,000 invites have been sent to politicians, relatives, celebrities, journalists and judges, said family Sources.

Special security arrangements were being made and top police officials including DIG of the state are in Saifai to look after the security arrangements.
