AIADMK leader Sasikala was granted parole for 5 days on Thursday, she had earlier, requested for parole but it was rejected by the Bengaluru jail authorities. She has again filled an emergency parole form on Thursday and also attached documents, including medical certificate of her ailing husband Natarajan, to make a fresh parole request. Sources in the jail authorities confirmed to NewsX that Sasikala’s request has now been approved and the process for the same is underway and she is likely to be released by 12 noon.
A ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) from Tamil Nadu Police on Sasikala parole application was received by Karnataka Prisons Departent. The Benguluru jail authorities have laid down some strict guidelines for Sasikala that she cannot make any media statements or call for any political meetings or cannot involve in any other activity other than for the reason she has applied the parole. Not adhering to any of the above guidelines will bar her from seeking parole in the future.
Jail superintendent Somashekar will be sanctioning Sasikala’s parole and she is expected to be out of Parappana Agrahara Central Jail, Bengaluru by 12:30PM.
M Natarajan, husband of troubled All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader VK Sasikala has undergone a successful dual organ transplant in Chennai’s Gleneagles Global Health City.
The condition of chronic liver disease patient, M Natarajan is stable after the after the seven-and-a-half hour kidney and liver transplant surgery which began late on Tuesday night, a senior doctor at the Institute of Liver Diseases and Transplantation told media.
The AIADMK leader, Sasikala had applied for a 15-day parole from the Karnataka Prisons authorities to be with her ailing husband, but it was rejected on technical grounds. She was asked to resubmit another application with more details and supporting documents.
