Apart from being the head of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also one of the most influential people in the world. PM Modi, who heads the Central Government, encounters some bizarre requests on daily basis. Recently, a Jaipur woman staged a protest at Jantar Mantar of Delhi to marry PM Narendra Modi. The woman, who hails from Jaipur in Rajasthan, has been on dharna since September 8. The woman has been identified as Om Shanti Sharma who is 40-years-old and has a daughter.
After she was made fun off, Shanti said that she knows what people think of her, but her mental condition is perfectly fine. When the lady was asked that how did she land up with an idea of marrying Narendra Modi, she said that she just wants to serve PM Narendra Modi as he is all alone. Shanti further added that PM Modi had stated that he is alone and has a lot of work to do, so she wants to help him by marrying him.
While protesting at Jantar Mantar, Om Shanti Sharma said, “I was married earlier but the relation didn’t last long. I am alone since past many years. I refused a lot of marriage proposals and now I am here to marry Narendra Modi.”
When asked that why is she on sit-in, Shanti Sharma said, “I know people will not allow me to meet him. But I also know that he needs help. He is alone like me.” Sharing how others react to her request, Shanti said, “When people here about this, they often laugh at me. I want to tell them that I just don’t want to marry Modi ji because I have thing for him, it is also because I respect him. In our culture, it has been taught since childhood to respect elders and help them in their work. I want to do my bit and help.”
For all those who think that Shanti is behind PM Modi’s because he is famous. Think again!
The 40-year-old woman who has expressed a desire to marry PM Narendra Modi has a 20-year-old daughter from her first marriage. Speaking about her daughter’s future, Shanti said that she has a lot of money and a land back in Jaipur. The Jaipur woman also said that she has planned to sell some of them and buy some gifts for Modi.
Citing National Green Tribunal’s (NGT) order to shift Shanti said, “I don’t know what I will do if the government removes me from here. It has been a month and this place is good and hospitable for me.” Sharma, who is using the public toilet at Jantar Mantar and eating at gurudwaras and temples to continue her sit-in, said that she will continue her protest till the time Modi ji comes to meet me.
