Gurugram horror: 7-year-old found dead in school toilet with throat slit

A 7-year-old student of a private school in Gurugram was found with throat slit in the school’s toilet. The boy was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.

Two sharp cut marks have been found on his neck and a knife has also been found near his body.

Gurugram police’s forensic team has reached the spot and an investigation is underway.

Bengal govt employees to get 15% hike in DA from Jan 2018

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced 15% hike in dearness allowance of state government employees from next January. She said that though the state does not have much fund because of the Centre’s deductions. She said that this hike in dearness allowance will cost the state exchequer an additional cost of Rs 4,500 crore.

With this announcement, the difference between DA given by the centre and the state to its employees came down to around 39%.

Banerjee also assured the employees of do away with the difference by 2019. She also courted controversy by telling government employees not to come barking at her 9 months down the line and to accept the DA hike.

Celebrity hairstylist Jawed Habib sparked a controversy over an ad launched by his salon that has shown Hindu gods in his salon, with the tag line ‘even gods come to Jawed Habib’s salon’.

The hairstylist faced a mixed reaction on social media for the same with some demanding to boycott his salon and others admitting that they don’t’ find the ad offensive.

Despite apologising for the ad, the netas claim that everything is business and hurting the religious sentiments of community can’t be tolerated.

Gauri Lankesh case: Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad slams Rahul Gandhi for “politicising the murder”

Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad slammed Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for “politicising the murder” of senior activist-journalist Gauri Lankesh and demanded to know why the Congress government in Karnataka “failed to provide security” for the slain scribe who is said to have been involved with “mainstreaming Naxalites”.

Prasad further said, “a lot of malafide comments” are being made about BJP leaders not condemning the murder when the truth is many of us have condemned it”.

He further questioned “liberals and intellectuals” about why they “don’t express outrage when RSS workers are killed in Kerala and Karnataka”.

34-year-old arrested for duping women by promising marriage

A 34-year-old man named Yogesh alias Sameer Garg has been arrested for duping women by promising marriage on online matrimonial sites. The conman would later threat the women with claims of posting obscene videos on websites and ask for money.

Sameer has till now cheated 15 women in their 30s and has siphoned off over rupees 50 lakh in the past 1 year.

During interrogation, Sameer has confessed that he was inspired by the Bollywood ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ and would pose to have a high-profile job in front of women.

The police have rescued a woman and her daughter from his grip. He was taking them to Mumbai under threat.

Search operations begin at Dera headquarters in Sirsa, Haryana

Security has been beefed up once again in Sirsa where jailed Godman Ram Rahim’s Dera Headqurter is situated in Haryana as the mammoth sanitisation of the sprawling Dera Sacha Sauda sect headquarters is underway.

Large amount of cash, banned currencies, computer hard disks & plastic used by Dera shop owners have been seized. Also police have sealed 2 rooms.

The entire sanitisation process is being videographed and overseen by retired district and sessions judge, AKS Pawar, who was appointed as court commissioner by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Haryana police personnel, paramilitary forces, duty magistrates, executive magistrates and revenue officials are all a part of the exercise.

Tejashwi Yadav refuses to swap govt bungalow with Deputy CM Sushil Modi

A notice of eviction has been served to former deputy chief minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav, who’s been refusing to vacate the accommodation, given to him as Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar.
The former deputy CM has been asked to leave his Desh Ratna Marg residence for polo road bungalow.

However, Tejashwi Yadav is refusing to swap the accommodation with the current Deputy CM Sushil Modi.

Tejashwi Yadav has written to CMO to retain the bungalow given to him earlier.

The bungalow is located next to the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and right across the road from Tejashwi’s parents Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi.

Incidentally, his father Lalu and mother Rabri were the official occupants of it, when they were the chief ministers of Bihar.

After Tejashvi was allotted the palatial bungalow, he reportedly had renovated it.

Tejashwi lost the deputy CM post for Sushil Modi — Would he also forfeit his residence or would Nitish grant his favour and let have that bungalow.
