Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday welcomed his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe, who is on a two-day visit to India. Japanese Prime Minister’s India visit will certainly strengthen the ties between the two Asian countries as he is set to sign a number of trade agreements with India.
The two Prime Ministers will kick-start highly anticipated Ahmedabad-Mumbai high speed rail project at the Western Railway Athletic Stadium near Sabarmati railway station.
The total cost of this project, which is India’s first ever bullet train project, is estimated at a whopping Rs 1.08 lakh crore ($17 billion).
