Three days before the Indian Premier League begins, the Bombay High Court has reprimanded Maharashtra’s cricket body for the criminal wastage of litres of water it will use to prepare pitches for the cricket tournament at a time when large parts of the state are reeling under drought.
 
With the prospect of 12,00,000 litres of water needed for a form of entertainment, it’s time the BCCI sorts out its priorities as well — cricket or people’s lives?
