Tamil Nadu’s politics has been dominated by either the AIADMK or the DMK for the past five decades. But the state could be on the cusp of a major political change. With the passing away of Jayalalithaa, the AIADMK  has lost a leader who had become virtually synonymous with the party.
 
As AIADMK silently convulses, a major rift among senior leaders has emerged – some reports say the party is split into two groups between Sasikala Natarajan & Pannerselvam. Sources say, M. Thambidurai may emerge as the consensus candidate. Meanwhile Sasikala wants to become party general secretary. Which way is the AIADMK heading?
