It’s an unprecedented assault on graft and leading it with full force is Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Living up to his no-nonsense image of an anti-corruption crusader, the Delhi Chief Minister held a press conference and announced on Live TV the sacking of one of his ministers. Kejriwal told a packed press conference that his minister had been stung demanding a bribe from a builder. Kejriwal says that the sacking was necessitated by the fact that the minister had betrayed his office and the faith the AAP leadership had placed upon him to fulfil his obligations towards the public. For added effect Kejriwal called upon the BJP and the Congress to now take his initiative forward and also expose the corrupt within their ranks. The parties haven’t obliged thus far. In fact they’ve questioned Kejriwal calling his action as a pre-stunt.
