After ‘netas’, now the Tamil Nadu film industry better known as Kollywood has come out in the open, demanding release of all of the seven killers of Rajiv Gandhi, the ex-Prime Minister of India. All the prominent unions of Kollywood have joined hands to demand release of Rajiv’s killers. 
 
The association includes actors like Nassar, Karthi, Vishal and filmmaker Vikraman. In their plea to the Jaya government, the association has demanded that convicts should be released under Article 161. 
 
Rajiv Gandhi had been assassinated in Sriperumbudur near Chennai in Tamil Nadu on May 21, 1991. At least 14 others also lost their lives.
