The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is being described as the biggest economic reform in the country. Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley has said it will be India’s biggest reform since Independence. Besides the Centre, almost all states are in favour of it as well. But this issue of vital national importance is stuck in the Rajya Sabha, where it needs a two-third majority to pass. It’s stuck because of politics – and now even bargaining.
