Nation At 9: Politics pivots around ‘sedition’. Yeddy leads charge in Karnataka

Karnataka BJP Chief Yedyurappa camped outside the town hall in Bengaluru with over 500 party workers. Their demand — a ban on Amnesty in the State and an investigation by the NIA in the sedition case against the NGO.
This comes a day after the Prime Minister said that his party puts the country first and they shouldn’t let the Opposition divert attention to “non-issues”
A clear reference to the developments in Bengaluru where the  BJP and Congress have been locked in a bitter battle on what constitutes anti-national activities — first with the Amnesty Sedition case and then with Congress leader Ramya countering the Defence Minister to say that Pakistan is not hell.
