A group of boys were roughed up by Mumbai police near the Gateway of India this weekend. One of the victims Anand Sachar shared his ordeal on social media which went viral.

According to Sachar, he and his friends were out late in the evening when a police patrol vehicle stopped them and asked them to leave. On asking the policemen as to why they should return, the police allegedly assaulted them. That’s not all, one of the cops named Jitendra asked the boys to ‘go to Pakistan’. They were let off only when they apologised!

This shocking treatment of citizens once again raising the question – who will police the men in khaki?
