Nation at 9: After PM Modi backed Balochistan, Bugti exposes Pak’s war crimes

Righteous rebel Brahamdagh Bugti has unmasked Pakistan’s war crimes in its illegally occupied province of Balochistan. By doing so he has exposed himself to great risk. Now, the intrepid Baloch activist is looking for asylum in India and the Indian government is reportedly considering the appeal.

Ordinarily giving Pak’s enemies asylum should have not been problematic for India. After all Pakistan’s enemy can always be India’s friend.

But ironically little consensus on Bugti’s demand exists. The Opposition may not back the Centre’s move. The principal party the Congress is divided on the issue and has publicly mocked PM Modi’s Baloch outreach.
