With two world cups, nearly 10,000 runs and 90 test matches later India’s most successful captain Mahindra Singh Dhoni has been nominated for the prestigious Padma Bhushan award (third-highest civilian).

Considered as one of the greatest finishers in limited-overs game, MS Dhoni has accomplished everything the world of cricket has to offer.

Touted as the best wicket-keeper, Dhoni has numerous records to his name as a captain and player.

The ‘captain cool’ is the only one to triumph all three ICC limited-over trophies (World Cup, Champions Trophy and the World Twenty20), a feat that is expected to remain cemented under his name for years to come.

With impeccable records and esteemed awards like Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and Arjuna award, Dhoni is expected to join the league of legends including the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev and Rahul Dravid if he gets the third-highest civilian honour.
