Tamil Nadu: Vellore College Chairman's sons kill local goon in public. View pictures here

TAMIL NADU: On the occasion of Krishna Janamashtami on Saturday, Vellore saw a gang war between a rowdy and the owner of an engineering college that resulted into a major tragedy.
Identified as 42-year-old ‘Athiradi’ alias Mahalingam, the local rowdy was caught by the sons of GG Ravi, Chairman of the GGR College of Engineering in Vellore and festival day. He was chased by them and stoned to death by the gang that reportedly tried to kill Ravi.
The incident took place in full public view near the Dharamaraja temple and a temple visitor clicked the pictures of the murder, a media report said.
“Despite being on bail, Maha had tried to kill G.G. Ravi, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam member and Chairman of G.G.R. Engineering College, by stabbing him at a religious function on Arcot Road on Saturday evening, police said. Mr. Ravi was taken to the hospital. But the supporters of Mr. Ravi chased Maha from Kagitha Pattarai to Thottapalayam, rounded him up near the Dharmaraja Temple ground in Katpadi Road and stoned him to death, police said” it added.
The shocked and petrified locals did not feel safe to intervene to stop the gruesome act; police said adding that six people including two sons of Ravi have been arrested in connection with the murder.
The pictures of the ghastly incident went viral on social media in Tamil Nadu.
