NEW DELHI: The ongoing controversy of Sheena Bora is taking new turns each day. While the judicial custody for prime accused Indrani Mukerjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar Rai has been extended till September 21, the Police Commissioner of Mumbai Rakesh Maria who has been actively interrogating the Sheena Bora murder case has been promoted as the Director-General Home Guards.
On the other hand, Sheena Bora’s brother Mikhail Bora who earlier claimed that his mother Indrani Mukerjea could be a threat to him also, opened up on NewsX and said that his mother tried to kill him also. “Someone was hired to kill me. My mother tried to kill me not once, but thrice. She tried to drug me with poison. Indrani offered me a drink. I felt something wrong was going then,” he told NewsX in an exclusive interview.
Mikhail clarified that it was not the Mumbai Police who approached him for anything; rather he went up to them voluntarily to register his statement with them. “I was in Mumbai on the day of the crime,” he said adding that he is confident that Mumbai Police will present the truth before people as they are working on the case aggressively. “I hope to get justice for my sister at the earliest,” Mikhail Bora said.
Mikhail further added that Indrani’s current husband Peter Mukerjea who has maintained that he did not have any clue about Sheena Bora and Indrani Mukerjea’s actual relationship and his any involvement in the Sheena Bora murder case knows Indrani better than anyone else. “Peter Mukerjea knows Indrani better,” he said.
“I have shared the evidence with the Mumbai police. They will now further interrogate the case, “ Bora told NewsX.
