NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leaders including Sanjay Singh, Ashutosh, Ashish Khetan and Kumar Vishwas on Monday night held a meeting at Yogendra Yadav’s residence.
The AAP leaders met Yogendra Yadav at his residence and held talks with Yadav post 11PM yesterday. They had a positive discussion and talks are expected to continue, said sources.
“My party leaders came home and we talked. When our talks complete, then we will tell you,” said Yogendra Yadav about the midnight meeting.
Kumar Vishwas said, “We will tell media only after reaching at some concrete point,” adding we are like a family.
In signs of rapprochement between the two warring camps within AAP, senior leader Prashant Bhushan said on Monday that he wanted to meet Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to put an end to the row within the party which has seen him and Yogendra Yadav being ousted from the party's Political Affairs Committee (PAC).
Bhushan added, he has sought time with Kejriwal and if he agrees, can meet him along with Yadav.
Bhushan's statement follows an episode of mudslinging by both camps. Bhushan, along with Yadav, was voted out of the party's all-powerful PAC on March 4. The ouster of the two leaders had also pushed the party to the edge with disagreements arising among its supporters.
