Internet services to be resumed in some parts of Gujarat

GUJARAT: The internet services suspended in Gujarat after the detention of Patel leader, Hardik Patel are expected to be resumed in Baroda by afternoon and in Ahmedabad, tonight.
Patel, who was arrested on Saturday, on charge of disregarding prohibitory orders, was released on bail yesterday itself. His arrest had triggered incidents of protests and violence. Government, in order to maintain law and order, suspended the mobile internet services across the state of Gujarat. (Also Read: Hardik Patel detained in Gujarat)
In Surat, where Patel tries to hold on a rally, the services will be suspended till Monday noon. However, in other cities like Rajkot, Surat and some parts of Saurashtra, the services will be suspended.
These parts had witnessed hostile protests by the members of the Patel community demanding reservation in education and government jobs. (Also Read: Who is Hardik Patel? What is the real story behind his detention?)
After the demand of reservation, which had been turned down by the Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel, Hardik Patel started a protest, which was then joined by thousands and thousands of people from the Patel community.
