Coal Scam: Fresh trouble for Ex-PM

NEW DELHI: A fresh twist in the coalgate scam has just come in.  Former Jharkhand CM, Madhu Koda, who was one of the alleged in the coal scam had earlier requested that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should be summoned in the Colgate Scam.
 
However, supporting the former CM, former Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayan Rao on Monday appealed that Singh should be summoned in the scam.
 
Rao’s counsel told Bharat Parashar, Special CBI Judge that, a coal block in Jharkhand, Amarkonda Murgadangal, was allotted to Jindal Group, the decision of which was taken by the former PM, Manmohan Singh. 
 
A summon issued by a special CBI court against ex-PM Manmohan Singh and five others in the coal allocation scam that was put on stay by Supreme court, as on April 2, 2015.
 
Naveen Jindal, a former MP and the Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited, has maintained that he is neither supporting, nor opposing Madhu Koda’s plea.
