Class 11 student arrested for Facebook post against Azam Khan

RAMPUR: The Police has arrested a class 11 student in Rampur for allegedly posting a comment on Facebook against senior Samajwadi Party leader and the Uttar Pradesh Minister Azam Khan.

The boy, a student of Woodrow School in Bareilly, was booked by the police following a complaint filed by Azam Khan's media in-charge Fasahat Ali on March 15.

An FIR was filed by Khan’s aide Fasahat Ali who claimed that the post is objectionable. Later, the boy was sent to 14 days of judicial remand.

According to the police, the boy was booked under section 66 A of the Information Technology Act and other sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The boy’s exact age has not been determined yet, said the police, adding he was picked from his house on Monday evening and the boy was on Tuesday presented before the court and sent to the district jail. 

Meanwhile, the family of the student, who was arrested for putting a post on Facebook against Azam Khan, claimed that he merely shared the post on Facebook.

Why not police investigate the truth and maybe the post itself contains the truth. Criminals and corrupt are having a good time these days and time has come to send them to jail.
