IIT student commits suicide

MADRAS: Nagendra Kumar Reddy from Andhra Pradesh, a second year M.Tech student of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, committed suicide in the college hostel by hanging himself in his hostel room. 
 
Nagendra had returned from his hometown on Monday, after which he went inside his room in the Tamarabarani hostel. When he did not come out for a long time, his friends went to his room to check about his whereabouts. It was when they found him dead, hanging in his room. 
 
The family of the deceased have been informed and they are in a state of shock as to why their son took such an extreme step.
 
Harish Kumar, one of his relatives expressed grief, “Last Saturday only he came to village and he enjoyed a lot. Don’t know why he took such a step.”
 
No suicide note has been discovered from his room. IIT Madras responded on the same, by informing, that the police is currently investigating the reasons of the death. 
 
Presently, there is no indication of the reason of the death.
