DELHI: It is reported that Teen Murti Circle in Delhi is to be renamed. It will now be renamed as Hafia Chowk.
Originally, the circle got its name due to the three statues that the circle had. ‘Teen’ means three and ‘Murti’ means statue and so the name, ‘Teen Murti’ was given to the circle. The circle is in front of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru’s residence, which is now a museum.
Similar reports had come on August 28, 2015, when the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) passed a resolution to Aurangzeb Road as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road, in honour of the much admired and loved former President of India.
