'Ansals too old to be jailed,' says SC

NEW DELHI: Justice has been denied to all victims and their families, even after the 18 years of the tragic Uphaar cinema incident which took lives of 59 people, the irreparable loss of which is still beared by their families.
Supreme Court’s recent ruling has announced that the two main accused, Ansal Brothers, the owners of Uphaar Cinema, are ‘too old to go to jail.’
The judgement has shocked many as the victims are not satisfied with only a fine' of Rs. 30 crore from each of the accused.
On th other hand, victims who are feeling humiliated, annoyed and frustrated are reportedly saying that the justice has been denied in this case. They are now personally looking into the legal options they can opt for and as per now, two legal actions can be taken that includes filing of a review petition or filing of a curative petition.
