Somnath Bharti’s case listed for Monday: SC

DELHI: Supreme Court has listed the case regarding the bail plea of Somnath Bharti till Monday, therefore it will be decided only after the hearing whether Bharti has to be arrested or not.

The Delhi Police is continuously tracking the location of Bharti. Currently, it is informed that he has moved out of Agra and is now somewhere near Haryana border.

Somnath Bharti has been trying to evade this arrest by absconding from one place to another. Acting like a professional criminal, he has also been changing his sim cards and cell phones.

Bharti is of the opinion that unless his case is heard and decided by Supreme Court, he would not surrender before the Police.

Deependra Pathak, Joint CP, South West Delhi said, “We believe that good sense will prevail on him and he will join the investigation at the earliest otherwise we will ensure that he joins the investigation.”

Bharti was charged with domestic violence and attempt to murder in a case lodged by his wife, Lipika Mitra.
