Dengue claims life of a 10-year-old in northern fringes of Kolkata

KOLKATA: The dengue menace is spreading across the country with each passing day. Several deaths have been reported in India with Delhi topping the list of victims. In a recent case, 10-year-old has succumbed to the dengue infection at a government hospital in Kolkata. (Also Read: 7 common signs of dengue fever you should not ignore)
A resident of Dum Dum on the northern fringes of Kolkata, the child reportedly died as he was not given timely treatment by the hospitals and doctors.
A local TMC Councillor has echoed the allegations against the doctors made by the parents of the child.
This is the second such case reported in Kolkata after five-year-old died due to dengue in Kolkata's BC Roy Hospital on Wednesday night.
