Bharti was produced before Dwarka Court today for the legal proceedings. Till the time his lawyer made it to the court, Bharti was representing himself and was arguing on his own behalf.
Somnath Bharti continues to claim that all the allegations against him are absolutely false and he is not involved in any of them. He said the same before the court also, “I have no idea about allegations” adding, “I know nothing about any charges.” (Also Read: No protection from Supreme Court, Somnath Bharti of AAP asked to surrender)
The Delhi Police has pleaded for five-day custody of Bharti as according to them, there were many things which were to be discovered including several articles that were used to torture his wife, the knife with which he tried to slit her wrist etc.
However, the court has only granted two days custody for the former Delhi Law Minister.
