DADRI: A 22-year-old boy, Jaiprakash has been found dead in Bisada Village of Dadri district in Uttar Pradesh. Reportedly, it is believed to have some sort of connection with the Dadri beef lynching case. (Also Read: Mob kills a man over beef eating rumours, son critically injured)
Villagers are claiming that the deceased was terrified after coming to know that his name is in the FIR that was registered in regard to Mohammad Akhlaq’s murder.
Apparently, the young boy committed suicide over a marital spat but the villagers are alleging that Police was harassing him, which compelled him to consume poison, which thereafter lead to his death.
On the other hand, Police is claiming that no such name is mentioned in the FIR. Police has told that the deceased is neither a suspect nor an accused in the FIR of Akhlaq’s murder. (Also Read: Dadri Beef Lynching Case: BJP Leader’s son, UP Homeguard arrested for spreading beef rumour)
The death appears to be natural but because the family is claiming it to be a suicide, the body has been sent for post-mortem.
Since the FIR in the beef lynching case mentions unidentified men, several villagers have been picked up by Police for enquiry and investigation. This is the reason the villagers are holding Police interrogation being responsible for Jaiprakash’s suicide.
Senior officials are at the spot and the official statement is awaited.
